Process

Each project begins with repeated site visits — often without a camera. Lina sketches compositions in a notebook before committing to film. Shooting days are deliberate: she rarely exposes more than two rolls (24 frames) in a session.

Film is developed by hand in her home darkroom in Yongsan-gu, using a consistent Kodak D-76 process. Contact sheets are reviewed over several days before selects are made. Final prints are produced as silver gelatin on Ilford Warmtone fiber paper, toned in selenium for archival permanence.

For digital reproduction and portfolio use, negatives are scanned on the Epson V850 Pro and processed minimally in Capture One — preserving the tonal character of the darkroom print as faithfully as possible.
